Arcus Global and Verna are pleased to announce they are working together to deliver a more connected and efficient experience for Local Planning Authorities (LPAs).

The collaboration will focus on building a powerful two-way integration between Verna’s ecological data platform, Mycelia, and the comprehensive digital planning software provided by Arcus Global. Verna’s Mycelia platform helps LPAs manage and assess crucial environmental data, particularly for Biodiversity Net Gain, while the Arcus platform manages the end-to-end lifecycle of planning applications.

This integration is designed to create a seamless workflow for our mutual customers. By enabling the smooth transfer of data between the two systems, this joint initiative aims to significantly reduce manual data entry, improve data accuracy, and provide teams with the critical information they need, right where they need it. The result will be a smoother experience for ecologists, validation staff, planning officers, and monitoring and enforcement teams, allowing for faster and better-informed decisions across the authority.

Adam Ball, Product Lead at Verna, commented: "Our goal at Verna has always been to make complex environmental data accessible and useful. By working with Arcus, we can embed vital ecological insights directly into the digital workflows that local authority teams use every day. This collaboration is about simplifying processes for LPAs and empowering them to deliver positive outcomes for nature more efficiently."

Robin Barber, Product Owner at Arcus Global, added: "We are committed to providing an open and connected platform that serves the evolving needs of modern planning authorities. Integrating with specialists like Verna is key to that mission. This integration will bring significant value to our customers, ensuring they have the best possible tools at their fingertips to handle environmental planning requirements seamlessly."

This integration will be made available to all mutual customers of Verna and Arcus Global. This announcement marks the beginning of our work together, with further details on the development timeline to be shared in the near future.
